Without warning, an extra brown box showed up sometime when I was away for lunch. Inside, my Mac was sitting there with a work repair order saying that they fixed things. Sure enough, they replaced the LCD, backlight, and something called an "inverter" (not sure, but maybe it is to illuminate the glowing Apple logo [...]
…So I found some interesting things while surfing around (as usual).
BluecurveTM, the new theme I designed for Red Hat, is available for GTK+ 1 and 2, Metacity, KWin, Qt, XMMS, GDM, icons, and other various parts of the Red Hat 8.0 system.
Maybe the next step is to make Bluecuve available for other things as [...]
My new laptop is still off in Apple-la-la Land. I still haven’t heard anything about it, nor has it made its way back to me. It has been a week now. This is the second time I had it shipped off. The first time, I had them fix several problems already.

Bad news: Everything malfunctioned. My camera was giving me errors ("Error 01"), my cell phone stopped working for a number of days (and when it did work, I was on a super-expensive roam), my new laptop’s backlight for the display died so I could not see anything [...]
