It was Friday. As I was preparing to leave for a get together where there typically great food and music, I lunged out my front door and jaunted towards my car. Standing around my Volvo, there were three ducks simply idling directly outside the driver side door. I walked up to them and they did not flap nor did any of them fly away — they simply started quacking at me, as if I understood. I, of course, not being Dr. Doolittle, wasn’t exactly sure what they were saying. Perhaps they were possibly asking me to switch to a different insurance company. (The ducks were, after all, next to my car…) Who knows?

Anyway, I walked even closer towards the ducks… and as I did so, they started walking off in single file.

Ducks are not the only “wild” animals that like to hang out around my new place. I have seen several little bunnies hopping around at night. In fact, yesterday, I happened to see one in my backyard! I quickly grabbed my camera and shot the little woodland creature.

I did not manage to take any photos of the fowl, but you can view the photo of the rabbit.
