War of the Worlds

Tonight marks the 65th anniversary of Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds radio broadcast based on the book by H. G. Wells. Many people thought it was the real thing, something the broadcast has been known for.

I actually heard the broadcast in my seventh grade social studies class in middle school, and I believe we heard it on this precise date, many years ago, in celebration of the anniversary.

You can read the text of the book, view the radio script, or check out the movie stats.
