On Friday, in addition to eating too much candy (mmmm… chocolate….), I spent the latter part of the evening in a dark room, staring at a wall for a couple hours with a bunch of complete strangers. Yup! — I went to a the movie theater and watched a recent release.

Being that it was the evening before All Saints Day, I found it fitting to see Luther, a movie based on the life of Martin Luther. It was an interesting film, and I enjoyed watching it. The acting was great and the story was naturally intriguing (at least to me).

After the movie ended, people sat around and talked. I heard exclamations from people, as they liked the movie so much too. Some people were moved to tears and others were flat-out crying. It was a surprisingly large turn out considering the time and date as well. The theater was pretty full, but I did manage to get what I consider to be the best seat in the house — the middle of the middle (and managed to do so with two empty seats on both sides, remarkably enough).

It was a good movie and a great way to spend the night. It was one of the few movies that I feel is worth the $8 to see it in the theater. For most other flicks, waiting for the buck-fifty second-run movie theater is fine. (:
