Stuck in New York

A large ice storm moved in to the Raleigh area, so the airport is closed until further notice. This leaves a few of us who planned on leaving tonight (Sunday) stranded in New York city. The weather is supposed to continue for the next couple days and move up here to New York. When it is done in North Carolina, the snow is supposed to fall here. We may not be home until Thursday.

Of course, things may work out somehow where we could be flying home tomorrow. We shall see.

    Not closed

    Just lots of cancellations.

  3. Good to know…

That’s good to know, as it means that we might possibly make it back tomorrow. Of course, according to every weather report I’ve seen, the storm is predicted to be relentless, at least throughout all hours of Monday, possibly even through Tuesday too.

I think you planned the snow storm to hang out in NYC for an extra week

stranded till thursday?if it comes to that…take a one hour train ride out of the city and in to the barren suburban wastelands of NJ, and I’ll buy you a beer and give you a free and ultimately uninteresting tour of a DoE fusion energy research lab.
