The US Department of State is ditching its official Courier 12 point document typeface for a jazzy new Times New Roman in the point size of 14. The two fill up nearly the same amount of space on a page, but Times New Roman has a “crisper, cleaner, more modern look.”

The recent memo sent out notes that Courier is not simply deprecated; it has been fully banned.

I guess someone at the State Department is Tired of Courier.
