Firefox default widgets, part II

I made a few modifications on my previous post. The text entries, textareas, dropdowns, and checkboxes are nicer, the buttons have a “click” feel to them, and radio buttons are implemented.

Firefox default widgets, part II

For this to work, you need forms-2.css (rename to forms.css before placing in your /lib/res directory) and also radio.png and radio_checked.png

  1. There ya go!!

  2. Your work may not look like a lot of changes, but it has greatly improved my browsing. In fact, it had more impact than most changes in mozilla code for the past years. How weird.

  3. Controlli Firefox, e tre
Anche Garret ha deciso che ne aveva abbastanza degli orribili bottoni di default di Mozilla/Firefox e ne ha preparati di alternativi.

  4. You nailed it. There is not a Mozilla Bug for this issue. We need to figure out the Mac OS X issue (the widgets are too light on Mac OS X).

  5. Awesome, it looks more defined than the past version.

  6. Very nice, Garrett. I even have it running on my win2k box here at work. ;)

  7. PS: Don’t anybody hurt me please. I don’t have any say in what OS I use here!

  8. Thats a huge improvement from the original. How about a 2 pixels worth of -moz-border-radius for buttons? I suggest this because when a form field and button are placed adjacently, form field’s corners “look” a little curved. And the button’s corners would feel much better if they are curved a teeny bit.

Anyway, that is a great improvement you have there. Congrats.

  9. Garrett, these changes aren’t nearly as un-invasive as you think… See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264523#c4
