The weather up north seems frightful

Down here in Georgia, the weather has been slightly chilly and quite rainy. From what I’ve seen from the Weather Channel and elsewhere, the whole East coast north of this state (from South Carolina on up) has recieved a huge winter storm, however. Lots of ice, sleet, and snow has covered up everything, especially in the Boston area.

I wonder what the conditions will be like for the drive back up I-95 in a few days.

What are the conditions like where you are?

The weather here in Southern California is also bad – raining. Maybe I shouldn’t complaint: temperatures in the 60/50’s 🙂

People seem to think it’s bad here in North Carolina, but having lived in Minnesota, I can tell you it’s nothing…a little bit of snow, a little ice on the ground. Yet there are wholesale closures of schools, churches, and daycares. 🙂 It will be 70 by Friday, so the snow’s not going to last long!

Can’t speak for the Boston area, but the Noreaster dumped about 8 inches of snow out here near Worcester. The roads are pretty clean and I bet the major highways will be no problem.

New York area is smooth sailing. We got maybe 1-3 inches of snow, and that was cleared the same day. NYC should be no problem at all.

Here on Eastern Long Island, New York it’s been very cold and windy, in the teens. Sunday into Monday morning, about 9 inches of snow fell outside my apartment. Too cold and snowy for my liking…
