Red Hat Wine

Friday, August 20th, 2004

Red Hat Wine is not what you might think. (;

Thursday, August 19th, 2004 has some nice artwork. It does look a bit familiar, however.

(What’s funny is that, while working at Red Hat, I once had a fixed-width prototype of RHN — and also in blue too… although that version never made it out the door.)

Field of goats spotted near Yahoo!

Leaving Red Hat

Friday, May 14th, 2004

After a lot of careful consideration, I decided to leave Red Hat two weeks ago. Today is my last day with the company.

I worked with several very talented, friendly and enthusiastic people at Red Hat. I am glad I was able to make an impact with things like designing and implementing Bluecurve (the themes, icons, and such you see in Red Hat products and also in Fedora), my work to make Fedora happen, the launch of Wide Open Magazine, the redesign of Red Hat Network, and everything else I did while at Red Hat.

It was a great 2+ years.

Red Hat Worldwide Meeting

Tuesday, April 27th, 2004

People are enjoying the Red Hat Worldwide Meeting. Some people seem to be enjoying it more than others it seems.

On Saturday, we all went to Wilmington and participated in some fun events. Guess which of the four events I wound up doing? It happened to be one where we walked around the city and took pictures, bought candy and ice cream, and enjoyed the day (the scavenger hunt). Big stretch for me, huh? *smile* We wound up winning second place too.

It’s been great to see everyone around the world. Some people I haven’t seen in a while and it has been very nice to hang out with them over these few days of food, meetings, more food, more meetings, and even more food. (:

As of today, I’m into my third year at Red Hat. (I have worked two full years at the company as of yesterday.)
